Anetha Craft

Anetha Jane ”Corky” Snider Craft, 76, of Ragley died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021 in a local hospital.

She was born in Lake Charles and was a 1963 graduate of LaGrange High School. She received her Master’s degree in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University in Houston, Texas. Her 50-year nursing career ended retiring from Lake Charles Memorial Hospital as the Nurse Educator. She a nursing professor at McNeese State University. She was a member of Squyres United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Calcasieu Cut Ups Quilt Guild.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Wayne Craft of Ragley; children, Christopher Wayne Craft and wife Brandy of Ragley, Stephanie Jane Stanfield and husband John of Ragley, and Kevin Ross Craft of Rockport, Texas; sister, Lynn Brooks Cobb of Magnolia, Texas; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Murray Brooks Snider; and mother, Billie Anetha Ross Edwards.

Her memorial service was held Sunday, Feb. 7, at Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff. Rev. Lindsey Sirman officiated.
