The date for the Annual DeQuincy Chamber of Commerce Banquet is set for Thursday, Apr. 29, at 7 p.m. The event will be held outside, casual to be held on the grounds of the Railroad Museum. Tickets will become available mid-March at a cost of $25 each.
Letters of nomination for the Annual Civic Service Award are now being accepted. Any club, organization, church or individual may submit a letter. The letter should state the accomplishments the person has made to DeQuincy without compensation. The letter should be no more than 300 words. The nominator is responsible for a ticket for their nominee.
The deadline for letters is Wednesday, Mar. 3. These should be sent to DeQuincy Chamber of Commerce, P. O. Box 625, DeQuincy LA 70633 or brought to the Chamber office at 218 E. 4th St.
The Chamber will give a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to a DeQuincy High 2021 graduate. To be eligible, the applicant must be seeking a degree in business. The scholarship is made possible by the Chamber, Toddler Junction with a donation of $250 and BECi with a donation of $250.
