Charles Eugene Thibodeaux was born Jan. 6, 1947 and passed away at his residence in Sulphur on Monday, Feb. 15, 2021 at the age of 74. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Seabee.
He is survived by his daughter, Anna Gauthier Lueck; his son, Blane Gauthier and wife, Dana; grandchildren, Jonathon Lueck and fiance’ Emily Keowen, Natalie Jordan and husband, Robert, Samuel Lueck, Conner Gauthier and Cutter Gauthier; and great-grandson, Samuel Paul Jordan. He is also survived by his siblings, Richard, Deanna, David, Timothy, Edward, Daniel and Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Tracy Thibodeaux, who passed away Jan. 12, 2021; his parents, Warren R. “Chobie” Thibodeaux who passed away Dec. 15, 2002 and Kathryn “Bonnie” Thibodeaux who passed away Dec. 3, 2005; nephew, Clint Thibodeaux who passed away Oct. 23, 2017 and son-in-law, Daniel John Lueck who passed away Mar. 31, 2013.
The family received friends from 9-11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22. Rosary began at 10 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Interment followed at Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
