Tigers cruise past Hemphill

Rayden Rosalis got busy on the basepaths on Saturday, knocking four hits in the DeQuincy Tigers’ 19-2 victory over Hemphill. Rosalis singled in the first, tripled in the second, doubled in the third, and singled in the third.

An early lead helped propel the Tigers to victory. The Tigers scored on a double by Reese Ashworth and a single by Sammy Maddox in the first inning.

The Tigers notched 11 runs in the third inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Drew Duhon, Rosalis, and Hadley Cooley, a triple by Maddox, a sacrifice fly by Gunner Gearen, by Ashworth, a fielder’s choice by Gavin Gary, an error on a ball put in play by Gearen, and a double by Rosalis.

Traive Goutreaux led the the Tigers to victory on the mound. The righty surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings, striking out six and walking one.

The Tigers tallied 19 hits in the game. Rosalis, Goutreaux, Cooley, Maddox, and Duhon each collected multiple hits for the Tigers. Rosalis went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead the Tigers in hits. Jacob Goodfriend led the Tigers with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.
