Tigers score nine in final two innings to win

The DeQuincy Tigers snagged a late lead and defeated Merryville 11-5 on Sunday. The Tigers were down 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Sammy Maddox doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

The Tigers earned the victory despite allowing Merryville to score three runs in the seventh inning.

The Tigers scored six runs in the sixth inning. The Tigers scored its runs on a home run by Traive Goutreaux.

Jake Pharris was the winning pitcher for the Tigers. The righthander went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out six. Hadley Cooley, Goutreaux, and Gavin Gary all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

The Tigers launched one home run on the day. Goutreaux had a long ball in the sixth inning.

The Tigers tallied ten hits on the day. Rayden Rosalis and Gavin Gary each had multiple hits.
