John Brown

John Keith Brown, 79, of DeQuincy, passed away on Friday, Mar. 26, 2021 at his residence.

He was born to his late parents, Charlie and Dorothy Brown on Mar. 23, 1942 in DeQuincy. He enjoyed hunting, beekeeping, fishing, four wheel riding, working in his yard, and camping. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his four sons, Evan Brown of DeQuincy, Sheldon Brown and wife Janna of Orangefield, Texas, Jason Brown of Meridian, Miss., and Regan Brown and wife Melisa of Sulphur; three brothers, Carol Brown and wife Annette, Jerry Brown and wife Carolyn, Doug Brown and wife Janice, all of DeQuincy; one sister, Marie Brown of Baton Rouge; eight grandchildren, Joey, Taelor, Meredith, Hannah, Brooke, Jack, Kylie, and Kolby; along with two great-grandchildren, Hazley and Aniston.

Keith was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Barbara Brown.

Services will be held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy on Wednesday, Mar. 31, at 10 a.m., with Bro. Dwayne Hyatt officiating. Visitation was held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home on Tuesday, Mar. 30, from 5 until 8 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 8 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Jordan and Amanda Mothershed of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home, 205 E. Harrison St., DeQuincy.
