Tigers take win over Oakdale

The DeQuincy Tigers were victorious over Oakdale, 6-1.

The Tigers tallied three runs in the fourth inning. The Tigers’ big bats in the inning were led by a walk by Reese Ashworth and an error on a ball put in play by Gunner Gearen.

Ashworth pitched the Tigers to victory. The pitcher allowed four hits and one run over seven innings, striking out seven.

Gavin Gary went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Tigers in hits.

Traive Goutreaux led the the Tigers with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases. The Tigers didn’t commit a single error in the field. Hadley Cooley had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.
