Wesley Duplechin, a resident of Ragley was born May 17, 1935 in Crowley and passed away Sunday, Apr. 25, 2021 at the age of 85. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Ragley.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie Duplechin; son, Jacob Duplechin and wife, Jennifer of Lafayette; grandchildren, Alexis Maple and husband, Matt, of Austin, Texas, Ian Hanchey of Austin, Texas, Jarrett Duplechin and Gavin Duplechin of Lafayette. He is also survived by his brother, Calvin Duplechin and wife, Elnora of Ragley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Christophe and Louise Menard Duplechin; daughter, Constance Marie Duplechin; along with five brothers and four sisters.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 27, with a Rosary at 6 p.m. at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Apr. 28, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Duplechin Cemetery in Ragley.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
