Phyllis Schmitt Hallam, 67 was born Dec. 19,1953 and passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021.
She is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Nicholson and husband, William of Petal, Mississippi and Carol Jacobs and husband, Arlo of Van Buren, Missouri; nephew, Bryant Joseph Arena; nieces, Windy Davis and Nicole Nicholson; and great nephew, Ashton Nicholson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Hallam; parents, Albert Leon Schmitt and Gertrude Carpenter Auster; brothers, Charles Schmitt and Richard Schmitt; and nephew, William Nicholson, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 6, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Interment will follow at Perkins Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
