Area players named All-District

The DeQuincy Tigers placed six players on the first team all district team that was announced this week.

Making the first team as pitchers are Seniors Gunner Gearen and Hadley Cooley. Sophmore Reese Ashworth makes the team at 1st base and Junior Gavin Gary makes 1st team honors as middle infeilder. Senior Rayden Rosalis makes the squad as a outfielder and Sophmore Sammy Maddox rounds out the first team as a utility player.

The Tigers also placed two players on the second team, Jake Pharis as a pitcher and Trave Geautreaux makes it as the third baseman.

Jacob Goodfriend rounds out the DeQuincy Players on the Honorable Mention squad as a outfielder.

Jake Smith the Rosepine shortstop was named MVP of the district.

Singer Hornets landed Sophomore Tate Hess who batted .348 and had a 2.30 ERA as a pitcher and Senior Landon Logue who batted .400 on the season as members of the 5B all district team 1st team.

Making the second team all-district from the Singer squad were the duo of Caston Perkins and Brayden Easley.

Anacoco senior Landry Alligood was named the Most Valuable Player in the district, while Elizabeth Coach Rhon Morgan was chosen as the Coach of the Year.
