Harmon Kyle

Harmon Benton Kyle, 70, died Saturday, June 5, 2021 in the Southwest Louisiana Veteran’s Home in Jennings.

He was a 1968 Sulphur High School graduate and attended McNeese University to study pre-law. He left McNeese to join the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he began a career in construction, working throughout the United States and also in Algiers. He began as a pipefitter and worked his way up into management, a position he loved. Following in his father’s footsteps, he coached baseball with the Ward 4 Recreation for many years.

Survivors include Penny Bellow of Carlyss; siblings, Edward Kyle of Moss Bluff, Daniel Kyle of West Palm Beach, Fla., Lynette Haack of Katy, Texas; Pamela Gros of Sulphur; James Kyle of Sulphur, and Samuel Kyle of Ragley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.E. Kyle, Jr. and AnnaBelle Kyle.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 10, at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home of Sulphur. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and will resume at 8 am. Thursday until time of service.
