Delton Joseph Matte, 90, of Westlake died Monday, June 14, 2021.
He served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked as a Pipefitter at Conoco Phillips and retired after over 30 years of service. He then owned and managed rental properties.
Survivors include his daughters, Glenda Matte Anderson of Westlake and Toni Matte Deshotel and husband Kent of Iowa; son, Michael Wayne Matte and wife Felicia of Ragley; sister, Barbara Jean Carriere of Church Point; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eva Safer Matte; parents, Edison and Adenzia Matte; five sisters; and two brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. John Bosco Catholic Church Friday, June 18. Interment followed in Westlake Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home in Westlake.
