Local team wins 14U state championship

The Clubhouse Baseball Academy Sticks went to Lafayette and played hard in a 3-day tournament.

They were seeded 1st and never looked back sweeping bracket play winning the Chamionship game 16-1 in a 3-inning mercy rule shortened contest.

The CBA Sticks went 5-0 on the weekend outscoring opponents 52-15. The Sticks only committed two errors in the tournament.

These players hard work has been paying off as they have went 10-0 in their last two tournaments finishing first in each.

The Sticks have been playing with a lot determination this year.

The State tournament is the biggest tournament these players compete in, by winning they have qualified for the World Series to be held at a later date.
