Amanda Barbery Runions, a resident of DeQuincy was born Sept. 6, 1960 and passed away Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021 at the age of 60.
Amanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and MeMe. She loved children and she was a like second mother to so many of them. Amanda was a very caring person with a huge heart. She will be greatly missed by her family, extended family and her many friends.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Runions; son, Dustin Runions; daughter, Kasha Burnitt and husband, Joseph and granddaughter, Addison. She is also survived by her brothers, Sam Barbery and wife, Mary Jane; David Barbery and Henry Allen Barbery, along with her nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by infant Runions, her parents, Gurvis Barbery and Frankie Foster Barbery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26. The funeral service will start at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27. The visitation and funeral service will be held at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Interment will follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
