Maudrey Gaspard, 72, died on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2021.
She served on the board for the West Calcasieu Chamber of Commerce and events committee for over ten years; was the former president of the Westlake Rotary Club and longtime Rotarian. She was a member of Christian Life Church of Sulphur.
She spent many years operating her own daycare. After returning from the Isle of Capris as an event coordinator, she managed events for the West Calcasieu Event Center.
She was survived by her six children, Brian Gaspard of DeQuincy, Robert Gaspard and wife Jennifer of Iowa, Chrystal Gaspard Matthews of Gonzales, Greg Gaspard of Sulphur, Blake Gaspard and wife Kashia of Sulphur, and Regina Gaspard Vincent and husband Spencer of Ragley; 21 grandchildren; siblings, Enson Saltzman, Lawrence Saltsman, Nelson Saltzman, Jr. Neelis Saltzman, Larry Saltzman, and Kathleen Saltzman Koch, all of Kaplan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Lennie Saltzman of Kaplan.
A Celebration of Life service was held Monday, Aug. 24, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home of Sulphur. Rev. Marcus Wade officiated.
