Nolan Fisher

Nolan Micheal Fisher, 37, of DeQuincy, passed away into the arms of his Savior on Friday, Aug. 6, 2021 of natural causes.

Nolan was born to his late parents, Jimmy and Gayle Fisher on Sept. 15, 1983 in Sulphur. Nolan was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in DeQuincy. He was a devoted son and brother, and loved his family. If anyone ever needed a helping hand, Nolan was always there. He was truly a friend to all. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Most of all, he loved his hometown of DeQuincy.

He is survived by his sister, Shannon Fisher Haggard (Mike) of New Orleans; two brothers, Jim Fisher, Jr. and Richard Fisher, both of DeQuincy; nieces and nephews, Christopher Haggard, Taylor Haggard, Grace Haggard, Kade Kibodeaux, Audrey Fisher, Ford Fisher; along with numerous cousins and friends.

Nolan was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Talford and Nola Jones and Paul and Billie Fisher.

A Celebration of Nolan’s life was held at First Baptist Church in DeQuincy on Monday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m., with Bro. Gil Arthur and Bro. Jim Fisher officiating. Visitation was at First Baptist Church on Sunday, Aug. 15, from 1 until 8 p.m. Visitation resumed at the church on Monday, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial followed at Perkins Cemetery.

Services were entrusted to Jordan and Amanda Mothershed of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home, 205 E. Harrison St.
