Lyla David, 2020-2021 Miss Louisiana Railroad Days Festival, will be asking for donations of items to be delivered to our neighbors in Southeast Louisiana.
After Hurricane Laura, our neighbors in SELA along with other surrounding areas stepped up immediately to help us any way they could. It is our turn to return the favor!
The 2020-21 La. Railroad Days Festival Queens and the DeQuincy Federated Service League will be collecting items at the DeQuincy Methodist Church Gym, located at 301 E. Center St., at the following times and dates:
- Saturday, Sept. 4, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Sunday, Sept. 5, from 2-5 p.m.
- Monday-Friday, Sept. 6-10 from 5-7:30 p.m.
If you would like to donate, bring hurricane relief items: water, tarps, batteries, non-perishable foods, gasoline, cleaning supplies, gloves, garbage bags, toiletries, etc. Anything that you needed, that wasn’t thought of!
All donated items will be delivered to Southeast Louisiana when it is safe to do so.
