Ruth Marie Ross Dupin, 97, died Monday. Sept. 13, 2021. She was born in Orange, Texas. She went to Lake Charles High School. She lived most of her life in Westlake. In 1994, she and her husband, Jesse moved to Lake Charles. Nearly two years ago she moved in with her daughter, Carlyn Fullington in Iowa where she stayed until her death.
She is survived by her children, Carlyn Fullington of Iowa, Sidney Dupin (Minnie) of Lake Charles, Shirley Hawley (Robert) of West Linn, Oregon, Sybil Leger (Mike) of Lake Charles, Michael Dupin of Lake Charles, Patrick Dupin of Singer, and Nancy Richard (Joseph) of Sulphur; 24 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Joseph Dupin; sons, James Bruce Dupin and Kenneth Wayne Dupin; daughters, Jessie Mae Pujol, and Patricia Lynn Benoit; granddaughter, Laura Michelle Dupin; and parents, Henry William and Iva Elizabeth Busby Goss.
Her funeral was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, at The University Baptist Church in Lake Charles. Rev. Broxie Hardesty officiated. Burial followed in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
