Alice Marie “Ree Ree” DeLoach Mitchell died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021 in a local hospital.
She was born in DeQuincy. A lifelong resident of DeQuincy, she was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. She was former president of the Usher Board, Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher, Sunday School Secretary, Senior Choir member, and Youth Director for the youth choir.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Mitchell III; daughter, Alcina Marie Jackson; son, Nicholas Earl (Shaquita) Chachere; sister, Diana DeLoach; brothers, Fred O. DeLoach and Alfred N. DeLoach; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Douglas DeLoach and Thressa Lee Davis DeLoach.
Funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 9, at First Church of God in Christ. Pastor James Harris officiated. Burial was in Community Cemetery under the direction of James Funeral Home.
