Clarence Langley

Clarence “C.J.” Jefferson Langley, 84, of DeQuincy, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021 at Christus St. Patrick’s Hospital. C.J. was born to his late parents, Clarence E. and Mamie Langley on Dec. 20, 1936 in DeQuincy. In his younger years, he loved to Rodeo and always enjoyed watching old westerns on TV, especially “Gun Smoke”.

C.J. is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Edna Sue Langley; son, Eddie Langley of Westlake; daughter, Debbie Blanchard (Mike) of Sulphur; grandchildren, Ashley Olewinski, Heather Langley Hardy (Marcus), Hunter Langley, Miranda Langley Dickson (Cody), Kristen Blanchard Dore, Kyle Blanchard (Amber); great-grandchildren, Kadence Guy, Ella Rose Langley, Eliot Chase Langley, Sebastian Owen Hardy, Avery Eloise Dickson, Aubrey Brooke Dore; and his special friends, David and Jenny Doyle of DeQuincy.

A Graveside Service will be held at Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy on Friday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m., with Bro. Harry Methvin officiating.

Services were entrusted to Jordan and Amanda Mothershed of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home, 205 E. Harrison St, DeQuincy.
