The Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of DeQuincy, La. met in regular session on September 14, 2021 for the following purpose:
Chairman Jerry McCaig called the meeting to order and upon roll call, those present and absent were as follows:
Present: Jerry McCaig, Lynne Treme, Ira Royer, Darlene Hooker, Shirley Bagwell, Brenda Vige
Absent: Carmen Iley
A quorum present, the following business was transacted. The minutes from July 13, 2021 were reviewed. Ira Royer made a motion to approve the minutes and Lynne Treme seconded. Motion carried.
The financial reports for June and July 2021 were reviewed. The year-to-date actuals were compared to the year-to-date budget. Lynne Treme made a motion to accept the financial reports as presented and Ira Royer seconded the motion. Motion carried.
An incentive pay for all employees was presented and discussed. This is a reward for all management and maintenance employees as an avenue to increase productivity and motivate employees to remain conscientious in working as a team toward achieving agency goals. DHA employees exemplified exceptional performance and dedication during the COVID 19 pandemic and during Hurricane Laura and Delta. Lynne Treme made a motion to approve an incentive pay per each DHA employee and Ira Royer seconded the motion. Motion carried. Res # 977
A list of outstanding debts owed for FYE 9/30/2021 was presented and discussed. Darlene Hooker made a motion to write off the outstanding debt owed on the rental register in the amount of $212.00 and Lynne Treme seconded the motion. Motion carried. Res # 978
Items removed from inventory for FYE 9/30/2021 were presented and discussed. Darlene Hooker made a motion to write off the 25 items removed from the inventory list and Ira Royer seconded the motion. Motion carried. Fes # 979
The vacancy report was presented by Brenda Vige.
There being no further business to come before the board, the Chairman thereupon declared meeting adjourned.
