Larry “Little Larry” Dougharty, Jr. was born June 4, 1979 and passed away Dec. 6, 2021. He was a resident of DeQuincy. Larry was a loving father, he was so proud of his children, they were his life. He was a very giving person, he would give the shirt off of his back to help others in need. He loved to laugh, joke and was a great storyteller; he could light up a room with his presence. He had a strong connection with God and loved to witness to others. He was a member of The Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends.
He is survived by his children, Toby Blake Dougharty and Kelly Shiann Dougharty; his mother, Arlene Dougharty; siblings, Elizabeth “Sissy” Picard, Amanda Thompson and husband, Aaron, Candice Caskey; his best friend, Casey Thompson and wife, Erica along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry David Dougharty, Sr.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10. The funeral service was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11. The visitation and funeral service were held at The Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy, located at 301 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy. Pastor Wayne Neyland officiated. Interment followed in Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
