Charles Hardy Royer was born July 29, 1941 and passed away Monday, Jan. 10, 2022 at the age of 80.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Delores Ann Richard Royer; children, Crystal Franklin and husband, James; Timothy Royer; Jena Shoemake and husband, Gerald, “Byrd” Royer and wife, Barbara, Stacie Brown and husband, Brad, Jonathon Royer and wife, Stefani; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He is also survived by his brother, Butch Royer and wife, Jimmie; and sister, Sherry Davis and husband, Steve.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hardy Royer and Bethel Rigmaiden Royer; three sisters; and one brother.
A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Cole Cemetery, Pete Gimnick Road, DeQuincy. Rev. Anthony Kennon officiated.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
