Harris John Mabile, Sr., 73, resident of Longville and native of Pierre Part, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at his home.
He was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Ragley where he served in any capacity needed.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Burnett Mabile of Longville; children, Harris Mabile, Jr. of Thibodaux, David Mabile (Faye) of Longville, Amy Jackson of Ragley, Molly Fontenot (Jared) of Longville and Hali Navarre (Glen) of Longville; 22 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; brothers, Lenson Mabile and Nelson Mabile; sisters, Janice Rivere, Mazie Rivere, Rita Barras, Arlene Blanchard, and Jennifer Brouillette.
He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Mabile; one brother; and parents, Leonard and Regina Mabile.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 12, from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 13, at 9 a.m. until time of service at Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Bluff.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, Jan. 13, at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will be at Dry Creek Cemetery. Pastors presiding will be Bill Smith and James Rivers.
