Arnold “Pokey” Nash, 67, was born June 23, 1954 in DeQuincy and passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022 surrounded by his family in DeQuincy. Arnold loved visiting with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved flying his airplanes, fishing, and listening to music at all times. He enjoyed anything to do with 18 wheelers, CB radios, cows, and westerns.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Emma Nash; children, Aaron Nash and wife, Mistie, Lance Nash and wife, Sarah, and Amanda Nash; grandchildren, Jared and fiance, Haylee, Emily and fiance, Kyle, Hannah, Laykin, and Kaison; great-grandson, Daxtin, and Carter; his sisters, Cathy Williamson, and Carlene Nash; and his brother, Dale Nash and wife, Terri; and brother-in-law, Brock Beyeaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nona and Hazel Nash; sister, Claudene Beyeaux; and brother-in-law, Thelton Williamson.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, May 19, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, May 20, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in DeQuincy.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
