Oak Street Pool now open

The Oak Street Swimming Pool opens to the public today under the direction of the Ward 6 Recreation Board. Hot dogs, cokes and snow cones will served at 12 noon to all attendees at no charge.

Pool hours will be Monday through Saturday, 12-6 p.m. and Sunday, 12-5 p.m. Admission is free to all.

Water aerobics for Seniors will be held Monday through Friday at 11 a.m-12 noon.

The Oak Street Recreation Center will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 12 noon for Seniors to come drink coffee. The Center will be open from 12 p.m. until closing daily for all. Concessions will be sold.

Ages 8 years and under and all non-swimmers cannot be in the pool without an adult (18+ years) swimming in the pool with them. Ages 12 years and under must have a parent or adult (18+ years) stay in the general pool area, they cannot be dropped off.

Private swim lessons will be available by calling Coach Hillary Franklin at 337-304-7273.
