DeQuincy Masons present Honesty & Integrity awards

On Tuesday, June 4, DeQuincy Masonic Lodge #279 presented Honesty and Integrity awards to the following students:

Zachery Haley, Sulphur High;

Jace Tyler, Alli Richard, Jordin McGahan, Nolan Schrader, Diron Valentine, Blaire Fruge, Abigall Puerta, and MJ Clark, DeQuincy High;

Sarah Barrow and Benjamine Crisp, Starks High; and

Izabella Arguello and Dawson Roebuck, Singer High.

The students, their families, and members of DeQuincy Lodge 279 were treated to a meal prior to the award ceremony which began at 7 p.m. The Master of DeQuincy Lodge 279, Brother James Nash, welcomed all the attendees. Then Brother Jeff Haley gave the students and families a brief history of Louisiana Masons. Brother Scott Wylie then explained to the students what this award means and explained the meaning of Honesty and Integrity.

After the presentation of the award, the students, families, and Masons fellowshipped together. After the visitors departed, the Lodge was closed in the proper degree.
